Claret centre for Informatics (CCI) is a unique venture by St. Claret College to provide state-of-the-art informatics and optimization expertise to its student community for improving their efficiency and competitiveness in the areas of Commerce and Management, Language Skills, Computers and Information Technology. The centre aims at creating scientific temper, research rigour, holistic vision and leadership skills at the service of building up a better society. 1. Diploma in Banking and Finance (DBF)
With the advent of globalization and related reforms the banking and finance sectors face the challenge to continuously innovate and improve and market their products and services. With a view to equip the students to face the challenges ahead the Department of Commerce has developed a certified diploma in banking and finance for students who aspire to make a career in finance.

2. Diploma in Taxation and Risk Management (DITRM)
Catering to the demand for professionally qualified human power in taxation sector, and to ensure a steady stream of industry-ready professionals at the entry level, a diploma program in taxation titled, Diploma in Taxation and Risk Management is designed. The program is open to the students of any discipline who aspire for a career in taxation and insurance. Students who complete this course will have a competitive edge and will be absorbed by companies. This course would emerge as a preferred professional qualification with graduation for employment in corporate.

3. Diploma in Basic Accounting (DBA)
The Diploma in Basic Accounting is designed for students who wish to pursue careers in accountancy but whose primary qualifications are in areas other than accounting. The programme aims to develop students’ understanding at the theoretical and practical concept of accounting. It also strives to enhance the students’ problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and independent learning. It provides students with an excellent foundation in accounting and its related disciplines bringing them to a high level of competence. A small class size and high quality teaching ensure that DBA is rewarding for graduates of any discipline.

4. Diploma in Web Designing (DWD)
DWD is an accelerated learning experience offered by the Department of Computer Science for helping the students to gain a comprehensive knowledge of Web designing technologies. The various modules included in this training are HTML, DHTML, CSS, Java Script, XML, introduction to .NET technologies and Project. This three-month course enables the students to acquire foundations of Web programming. DWD helps the students to develop programs by using scripting languages for data validation purpose. Informative and interesting seminars and practical by faculty members from both inside and outside make every aspirant of this course competent for developing websites on their own. The program includes a mini web designing project.

5. Diploma in C#.NET (DCN)
This diploma course is offered at SCC by Aptech Computer education center. Microsoft .NET Framework is a set of technologies. The main goal of creating a .NET Framework is to give the developer community a single platform or an environment, using which they could write applications for various platforms (Windows 98 to Windows 2003) and devices. This innovative learning experience explains the major benefits of the .NET Framework; i.e. support for over 20 programming language compilers and the ability to enable applications to run on a variety of devices, from desktops to mobile phones. After successful completion of this course students will be able to easily build and maintain systems with improvements toward performance, security, and reliability. It enables and provides students a single approach to build both desktop applications and Web-based applications. The syllabus covered in this course maps to MCTS Exam 70-536, Microsoft .Net Framework Application Development Foundation.

6. Certified .Net Programming Specialist (CNPS)
St Claret Centre for Informatics in association with Aptech Computer Education, a global training institute in Computer Technologies brings in the value added course - CNPS. The main objective of the program is to enhance the students’ technical skills and to help the student to meet the technical skill requirement in industries. It is a programme designed to meet the needs of the students planning a career in .Net framework. The programme offers an overview on .net framework, knowledge in the Object Oriented programming concepts and Programming in C# along with ASP.net. Training will also concentrate on implementing the technologies learnt to a Project. Aptech Computer Education, Banaswadi, Bangalore will award Certificate of Completion to all those who complete the course successfully.

7. Diploma in Advanced English Speaking (DAES)
DAES is a unique programmed designed to enhance the communication skills of the students. The objectives of the programme is to develop the students’ command over various aspects of spoken English, grammar, fluency, diction, vocabulary, letter writing, sentence framing, public speaking, group discussions and presentations.
