Women Redressal Cell

Action plan for the academic year 2011-2012

 
August, 2011
  • Power point presentation about the Women redressal cell, its role & importance in the campus, objectives, functions, rights of women, constitutional remedies etc to create awareness among the women students and staff in the campus.
  • Create an email id for the women cell to help the women to complaint to the cell.
  • Conduct regular meetings with the student representatives at least once in a month.
September, 2011
  • Creative writing contest for the girls on some relevant topic.
  • Logo designing competition for the women cell members.
January, 2012
  • A two hour interaction programme on any relevant topic.
  • Screening of a documentary film on any relevant topic.
February, 2012
  • A two hour seminar on the topic "Value of Life".
  • A two hour presentation on the topic "Born to succeed".
March, 2012
  • Poster making competition for the cell members.

About Women Redressal cell
The women redressal consists of three lady faculty members. The cell attends to various complaints from the women students in the campus, especially to issues regarding women harassment. Appropriate and prompt actions are assured to complainants approaching the cell.

Objectives :
St.Claret College women redressal cell functions with a view to look after the general well being of the women folk in the campus. It organizes different women empowerment programmes. All women staff and students are members of the cell. Any type of sexual harassment physical, verbal or mental shall come under the purview of the cell, and it is empowered to initiate legal actions against such offences.

Mission :
To enlighten the women students about their legal rights and to strive towards the empowerment of the women through the promotion of gender amity and programmes concerning women welfare.
