B.Com Professional with ACCA

B.Com Professional with ACCA integrates a major portion of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Fundamentals Level program into the Bangalore University B.Com syllabus. After the successful completion of the first two semesters of the Bangalore University program, the students are exempted from the first six papers of ACCA. This provides the students the advantage of completing the ACCA Fundamentals Level qualification without much additional training.

ACCA is a global professional accounting body with its headquarters in London. It is the largest and fastest growing accounting qualification in the world with over 500,000 members and students in 170 countries. Since the ACCA qualification is based on international accounting and auditing standards, an ACCA qualified member has the distinct advantage of working in a wide variety of organizations all around the world.

Objectives:

• To provide conceptual knowledge and application skills in the domain of International Accounting and Finance.

• To give an insight into the various Functional areas of Business with specific focus in International Accounting and Finance.

• To help the students to acquire analytical and decision-making skills.

• To provide a Global view of the Macro Environment influencing business decisions.

• To impart required Computer Skills to keep pace with the adaptation of Technology in Business.

Eligibility
Students who have completed the two-year Pre-University Course of Karnataka or equivalent there to are eligible to seek admission to the B.Com Professional with ACCA Course. Students must have done at least two of the commerce subjects in the pre-university course or its equivalent.

Course Details
In addition to the Bangalore University B.Com classes, the ACCA students are provided the following training:

Key Points

1. Compulsory internships for all the students at the end of each semester.

2. The B.Com professional students will be a part of the Professional Conclave Club at SCC.

3. At the end of the fifth semester, all the B.Com professional students will be given placements training (PTP) and will be required to take up the PTP compulsorily.

4. No student is permitted to discontinue the course a week after the date of admission.

5. ACCA classes are conducted in the college campus.
