Equal Opportunity Cell

India is potentially rich in human resources. To harvest talented resources, it is essential to promote inclusiveness in the present educational system, and the degree of democracy in higher education to a greater extent. Every Education Institution should become more responsive to the needs and constraints of the differently-abled group of the society.

St. Claret College is determined to provide a favourable and comfortable environment to all employees and students through special infrastructure, especially for those from marginalized backgrounds. The Equal Opportunity Cell of the college is directed to take every step in this direction. Discrimination against any person on the grounds of their disability or physical limitations and minority status is a gross violation of UGC accepted principles of equality and human rights and our country’s constitutional obligations.

Purpose of the Cell:
1. To facilitate a good environment and equal opportunities through awareness generation programmes.
2. To enhance and improve the skills and knowledge of the students and staff concerning personal growth.
3. To provide the basic needs like textbooks, study materials, ramps, railings and accessible washrooms for students and faculty with physical disabilities.
4. Creation of equal platform by following institutional and Governmental reservation policy in admission and recruitment for SC, ST, PH, OBC, persons from religious and language minorities, differently abled persons and women.
