Guest Lectures

Department of Social Work conducts several programs for the development of students such as Panel Discussion, Workshops, Seminars, and Conferences. Guest lecture is one of the initiatives and programs that the department organizes to expose students to various other socially related subjects and fields. The department organizes different guest lectures on different topics for the students of every year. Guest lecturers regarding the Burning issues where the students gain an insight on different issues, and understand how social work plays an important role in alleviating these issues. Guest lectures have become an important part of the educational experience for students. As the resource persons are from the field, students are motivated to listen to their lectures keenly. They expose students to real-world life experiences from the position of someone who has been there. One important benefit that is derived from having a guest speaker is the enhancement of the students’ educational experience.

Guest Lectures are also divided into Specializations and on Social Issues .The resource persons gives lot of inputs and empower the students with advocacy and policy related information’s.
