SCC Faculty Awards

St. Claret College recognizes the contributions of its faculty by awarding outstanding performers. Awards are given to faculty in recognition of their outstanding contributions in research, community service and innovation. These awards are open to any active full-time faculty in the college. The faculty should self-nominate for the awards on the prescribed nomination form and provide documentary evidence for the claims made in the application. Each recipient will receive a cash award of Rs. 5000/, a citation and recognition at the graduation ceremony. Currently four faculty awards are instituted.

1. Best Researcher Award
To determine the best researcher, SCC takes into account the number of Scopus Indexed, Web of Science and UGC Care list research publications, the number of text books and book chapters the faculty published during the academic year. Research grants, projects and scholarly contributions are also considered for the award.

2. Outstanding Community Service Award
Outstanding Service Award is presented to the faculty member who has done extraordinary service to larger community through outreach and extension activities.

3. Innovative Teacher Award
This award recognizes the teacher who is most creative, and non-traditional with classroom teaching. This award is a testimony to SCC’s commitment to innovative and student-centric pedagogy and teaching methods.

4. Institutional Promotion Award
The institutional promotion award is presented to the employee whose innovative idea had remarkable impact on the institution’s branding and promotion.
