Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) & Transfer Certificate (TC):

Q. What is the procedure to obtain the PDC?
Answer: Students should pay prescribed fee and collect the TC / PDC request form and submit the same along with the College ID card and copies of all the semesters’ marks cards to the admin office. There is a provision for university attestation, if required. Candidates must submit application for the same to the university within 6 months from the date of course completion along with the prescribed fees collected by university.

Q. Can the application for PDC be made online or does it need to be done in-person?
Answer: Students can apply for PDC online along with the required proof. Students can keep in regular touch with the Office Administration officials to enquire the progress of the same. However, only the hard copies of the PDC will be made available for which the student has to come in person. In case the student is unable to physically be present to collect it, he/she can authorize someone on his/her behalf to collect the same.

Q. What is the procedure for obtaining the Provisional Degree Certificate?
Answer: The provisional degree certificate (PDC) is made available to the student once he/she has cleared all the six semester ( in case of UG courses) and four semesters (for PG courses) exams successfully. The student is required to produce INR100 along with the supporting documents and application form, post which the PDC will be issued. Students should note that if there is any backlog, the PDC would not be issued.

Q. When is the convocation certificate issued to the student?
Answer: The Convocation certificate is issued by Bangalore University after the announcement of the Convocation day by the University. The marks cards however are issued by the University post each exam semester results.

Q. What is the procedure for obtaining the Transfer Certificate?
Answer: Once the student successfully completes the course, she/he can apply for the Transfer Certificate (TC). The Certificate is usually issued against a requisition from the institute where the student intends to pursue further studies in another higher educational institute (HEI). In order to obtain the TC, the student is required to clear all the six or four semesters (as applicable) and supporting documents indicating securing of admission in another (HEI). The student thereby needs to apply for the TC with a nominal fee of INR 100 along with documented proof of no backlog in examination.
