APJ ABDUL KALAM

A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is one of the greatest scientists of India and was given the title “Rocket Man of India”, not only that, he also served as the 11 th Indian president. He is an inspiration for the youth of India. As a scientist and specialist, Sir Abdul Kalam took a shot at a few significant projects of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). He began working with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) since 1972. He was additionally a significant part of Pokhran II Nuclear Test in 1998.

We are most familiar with the accomplishments of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam as a defence scientist. As a result of which, the alliance of N.D.A. government made him the contender for the post of leader of India in 2002. From Madras Institute of Technology, in1954, he graduated with a diploma in Aerospace Engineering, before which he graduated with a degree in physics from St. Joseph’s College of Tiruchirapalli. After completing graduation, he joined the Aeronautical Development Foundation of the Defence Research and Development Organisation as a chief scientist. As Project Director-General, he was admired, for making India’s first indigenous satellite rocket,(SLV III).

He was the President of India from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007 during which, he became beloved among Indians and got a lot of recognition from Indian youth. He came to be known as the ‘President of People’. On the night of 27 th July 2015, he suffered a severe heart failure and fell oblivious during a class and died two hours after. Kalam Ji composed his autobiography in1999 and the book was named ‘The Wings of Fire’ along with other books for the future generation.

He made his mark in the history of India and continues to inspire minds to pursue their passion and do what is right. He continuously spread the idea of doing what is right for yourself and the people around you. He faced a lot of trials during his youth regarding education, but persevered to achieve great heights. We need more people like him in this world, to push us forward while also achieving unimaginable goals for themselves.
