The undergraduate management programme gives the student a period of three years to learn basic management theories comprehensively. The topics covered during the programme range from basic accounting principles, finance and marketing management, human resource management to business law and computer fundamentals.
Here we walk along with each students providing them with the much needed communication skills and subject knowledge. Club activities organised by the Management Club aim at bringing out industry specific skills in the students. Various competitions like Business Quiz, Product Launch, Mock Stock and Crisis Management are arranged for the students. They also have regular industry visits, interactions with prominent people from various corporate and academic sectors and we encourage them to take up add on programs so that they can learn beyond the syllabus and upgrade themselves with the latest requirements of the fast-moving job market. The Department of Management at SCC offers the BBA program designed to develop well-
rounded, multi-skilled professionals. The curriculum provides strong grounding in Finance,
Accounting, Marketing, HR, Entrepreneurship, and Communication, enabling students to
meet diverse industry expectations. With students from local, national, and international
backgrounds, the department is vibrant and culturally rich.
Established in 2006 with just 8 students, the department has grown to 467 students in 2025. It
became an independent department in 2009, and the program was renamed from BBM to
BBA in 2014.

Management Fest – Anveshan
Anveshan is an inter-college Management fest organized by the students and faculty of the
Department of Management. This fest is held every year under Academix, which provides a
dynamic platform for budding managers to showcase their talent, creativity, and leadership
skills through a series of challenging and innovative events. Students from various colleges
across Bangalore participate and engage in activities such as Pitch & Post, Best Manager,
Best HR and Battle of Brands. These events aim at testing the participants analytical
thinking, decision making abilities, teamwork and essential qualities for future business
leaders. Anveshan not only celebrates managerial excellence but also encourages holistic
learning beyond the classroom.
Nakshatra - An Intra-Department Management Event
Nakshatra is an intra-department management event organized by the Department of
Management at SCC. The event brings together all the management fest activities under one
platform, providing students with the opportunity to experience the thrill and leaning of full-
scale management fest within the department itself.
Designed to nurture managerial competence and leadership qualities, Nakshatra includes a
wide range of events such as Best Manager, Business Quiz, Marketing events, Finance event,
HR event and Corporate fashion show. Each event is carefully structured to test the students
analytical, creative and problem –solving abilities.

Dakshya is an intra-department student paper presentation competition organized by the
Department of Management at SCC. The event provides a vibrant platform for students to

students from Bachelor of Business Administration a comprehensive job-oriented
programme in Aviation. The duration of the programme is three years/six semester and it is
pursued alongside the Bachelor's degree. During the three-year/six semesters programme

add-on program is a 45-hour intensive course conducted by ICA Edu Skills Pvt Ltd. It is
designed to equip students with the creative and technical skills necessary to create impactful
digital presentations and marketing visuals. The program focuses on developing proficiency
in modern tools such as Prezi and Canva, while emphasizing key aspects of visual
storytelling, branding, and audience engagement. Through a combination of theoretical
understanding and hands-on projects, the course helps students effectively communicate
ideas and build strong brand identities in today’s visually driven digital landscape.
Analytics for Business Operations
The “Analytics for Business Operations” add-on program is a comprehensive 30-hour course
conducted by Marks Academy. It aims to enhance students’ analytical and operational
decision-making skills by providing practical exposure to Microsoft Excel and other
analytical tools. The program covers essential topics such as formulas, pivot tables, data
visualization, and real-world case analysis, enabling students to derive meaningful insights

AI-Driven Cybersecurity and Innovation
The “AI-Driven Cybersecurity and Innovation” add-on program is a 30-hour advanced course
conducted by Starencrypt exclusively for final-year BBA students. This program is designed
to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how artificial intelligence is
transforming the field of cybersecurity and digital innovation. It introduces students to the
fundamentals of AI in threat detection, risk assessment, and cyber defense strategies, while
also exploring the ethical and practical implications of AI applications in the cybersecurity

Fundamental Analysis Using AI
The “Fundamental Analysis Using AI” add-on program is a 30-hour industry-relevant
certification course conducted by ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd. for second-year BBA students.
The program is designed to introduce students to the core principles of fundamental analysis
and how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming financial evaluation and decision-
making. Participants gain hands-on experience in analyzing financial statements,
understanding valuation metrics, and interpreting key market indicators. The sessions also
highlight the application of AI tools in predicting financial trends, improving analytical
accuracy, and automating data-driven investment decisions. By blending finance with
emerging technologies, the program equips students with essential skills for careers in
financial analytics, investment research, and fintech, fostering a strong foundation for future
business decision-making in a technology-driven financial environment.
BBA graduates have versatile career options and can work across sectors such as banking, insurance, IT, retail, aviation, and both government and private enterprises. They build careers in core areas like Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources. Many of our students are placed in reputed organizations including Godrej, Thomson Reuters, Cognizant, Amazon, Gallagher, EY, KPMG, and others.
The department organizes national and international conferences every year, bringing together distinguished scholars and industry experts to address contemporary global themes. These conferences serve as a dynamic platform for discussing emerging trends, sharing research insights, and fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. Each year’s event is designed to broaden perspectives, promote academic collaboration, and inspire innovative approaches to leadership, inclusivity, and sustainable development in an ever-evolving global landscape.
Work in progress
Guest lectures are regularly organized for students, where eminent personalities from industry and academia share their insights, experiences, and expertise. Alumni working in various sectors are also invited to engage with students, strengthening industry–academia collaboration. In addition, the department expanded its academic exposure through a Student Exchange Programme with Nirmala College for Women, Coimbatore, conducted in March 2025, offering students valuable cross-institutional learning and cultural exchange.
Industrial visits are organized for first, second, and third-year students to provide hands-on exposure to real-world business operations. These visits help students understand practical aspects of management and broaden their industry perspective. Companies visited include Coca Cola, Unibic, Gone Mad, Bangalore Dairy, TVS Motors, Dairy Day, and SEBI. Additional visits arranged for academic enrichment include an educational visit to The Art of Living International Centre, an educational tour to Mysore Silk Saree Ltd., Mysore, industrial visits to Britannia, Bangalore Sportswear Company, and ID Foods Private Limited.
Management Club:
The club provides a platform for students to enhance their academic knowledge more informally through active participation in extracurricular activities. Club Elixir is a platform for the students to exhibit their talents and interests through participation in various programs. Student driven activities bring the students together for organising, planning the flow of activities which enables the students to be motivated to bring new ideas and increase their confidence level. The club encourages students to take part in inter collegiate activities.
Saksham – Inter collegiate Student level paper presentation
An inter collegiate BBA project presentation on the minor projects that they were involved in was held in April 2016. Till 2016 project work was compulsory for BBA, VIth semester. Thereafter the university made project work optional and the department offered this option to the students for a year. In 2017 it was decided to make project work and internship compulsory for all students as this will help them get better prepared for their future work life.
In this connection the inter collegiate project/research paper presentation was brought back and the inaugural edition of Saksham – An inter-collegiate Student Level Paper Presentation on the topic “Management Education – A student’s perspective” was conducted by the Department on April 17, 2018.
In the future we will make the presentations open themed so that student’s projects at degree and PG level can also be presented in this forum.
Intra-Collegiate events
Dakshya: Intra collegiate Student level paper presentation
In order to give our students an exposure to paper presentations and an aptitude to research the Department of Management conducted Dakshya – the inaugural intra-collegiate Student Level Paper Presentation on the topic “Trends in Management “on 31st August 2018. This is an annual event of the department.
Extension Activities:
The department plans outreach and extension activities to contribute to various sections of society and also to sensitize the students towards social issues. Activities range from support to government schools, old age centres, arranging medical camps for the neighbourhood and grocery collections for charitable homes. The Department has also collaborated with Cancer Care India through Dr. Kameshwari Devi and various programs are organised. Some of these include Village surveys and awareness camps, awareness programs on health and nutrition with government schools, cancer awareness for ladies and girl students etc.
The department also organizes an out-of-state industrial tour every year, giving students the opportunity to explore new cities, experience diverse cultures, and gain exposure to industrial development across different regions of the country. In previous years, students have visited Goa, Pune, and Hyderabad. There are plans to introduce an international study tour in the coming years, ensuring that students experience both one domestic and one international tour during their three-year program.
