MAGNIX
The Science Club of the Department conducts MAGNIX – Intra- collegiate Science Fest to
identify the best talent from the first and second-year batches, as well as train final-year
students in event-planning abilities. There are several events and competitions as part of the
fest. Organizing such events foster a sense of community among students, provide a platform
for skill development, and create lasting memories.
IMPELZ
To inculcate research aptitude in the young minds and nurture their innovative thinking, the
Department conducts Intra-Departmental Student Conference, IMPELZ. The main objective of
the conference is to share the research findings and engage in insightful discussions with others
on the latest happenings in the current field of study.
INTEGRATE
INTEGRATE is an Inter collegiate science fest conducted for the BSc and BCA students of
various colleges. This provides a platform for the students to use their scientific knowledge
and bring the best invention, thereby inculcating in them a desire to seek additional knowledge
and skills in the areas of their interest.

In each academic year, the department hosts six to seven technical seminars in an effort to enhance students' learning in a more topic-specific, participatory manner. Experts from academia and business are asked to present on pertinent subjects as part of this. During these interactive events, the students are encouraged to share their opinions and raise questions relevant to the theme. During technical presentations, the department introduces students to current developments in the fields of science and technology as well as a range of career options in those fields.
Peer teaching and E – learning practices
Peer teaching is encouraged by the department as a way to assist slower learners. Academic performance is improved for slow learners by the high achievers. The department also encourages students with particular ability in pertinent Information Technology fields to share their knowledge with classmates as part of peer teaching. Through the provision of an environment where technology may be used precisely to gain knowledge at any time and from any location, the department encourages students to learn online.
Extension Activities
The department plans outreach activities to raise students' awareness of social responsibility. To teach neighbourhood homemakers and schoolchildren the basics of computers, the department organizes Computer Literacy Drives. The computer lab practical in the sessions are organized in accordance with the program's syllabus. In order to promote social consciousness among students, the department’s SCIENCE Club plans outreach events, such as street plays and rallies, in the local community.
The purpose of educational excursions and industrial visits is to provide students with sufficient exposure to the scientific field. Going on industrial trips also provides students with real-world knowledge about how labs and companies operate. The department's students have been to the German Technical Training Institute in Karnataka, ISAC Mysore, and many other places. Students are also encouraged to go on out-of-town industrial excursions as part of their educational travels, which provide them the chance to explore new places and have a day off from the classroom.
With the assistance of our institution's Training and Placement Centre (TPC), the department ensures that students who wish to begin their careers shortly after graduation are placed in a reputed organization during their fifth or sixth semester. The department has been placing the students in reputed firms with the help of TPC. Over the course of the three years, the students receive intensive coaching from both internal and external resources to prepare them for the recruitment process. Every academic year, TPC places a large number of department students in multinational corporations (MNCs) including Delloite, Infosys, Wipro Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, Samsung, HP, Deloitte and TCS.
