Best Practices

Project Humdard

The Department of PG Management is committed to nurturing socially responsible leaders who contribute positively to society. Project Humdard was initiated during the COVID-19- induced lockdown in 2020 with the objective of extending support to individuals and families facing economic challenges. Through a student-driven crowdfunding initiative, learners raised funds and provided essential groceries to underprivileged families across Karnataka and other regions of India. The project continues to inspire students to practice empathy, social responsibility, and community engagement.

Industrial Visits and Internships

The Department integrates experiential learning into its pedagogy by providing students with opportunities to understand business operations through industrial visits and internships. Regular industrial visits enable students to observe organizational practices, production processes, and managerial functions, bridging the gap between theoretical concepts and real- world applications. Students also undertake mandatory internships, gaining professional exposure and applying classroom learning in organizational settings.

Outbound Training

The Department believes in holistic development by enhancing students’ leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills beyond the classroom. The Outbound Training programme provides experiential learning opportunities through team-building activities, leadership exercises, and real-time challenges that prepare students to face dynamic business environments with confidence.

Peer Teaching Initiative

To promote collaborative learning and knowledge sharing, the Department has introduced a Peer Teaching Initiative where second-year MBA students’ mentor first-year students on emerging business trends, industry practices, and contemporary management concepts. Conducted under faculty supervision, this initiative enhances leadership skills among senior students while helping juniors gain insights into current market developments.

Claret Advantage

Claret Advantage is a flagship initiative of the Department of PG Management that provides students with direct interaction and learning opportunities from eminent personalities across diverse fields. Through face-to-face sessions with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians, and professionals, students gain valuable insights into industry expectations, career opportunities, and emerging trends.

Claretpreneur

Claretpreneur is an entrepreneurial initiative of the Department of P G Management that provides students with a platform to transform their innovative ideas into potential business opportunities. Through business exhibitions, idea presentations, product showcases, and interactive displays, students demonstrate their creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, and managerial capabilities.

The initiative encourages students to identify market opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and present their business concepts to a wider audience. Claretpreneur nurtures an entrepreneurial mindset by enhancing skills such as problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and business planning, preparing students to become future entrepreneurs and industry leaders.
